The challenge:<\/strong> improving payment experience and connecting with an increasingly digital consumer<\/h2>\n\n

With more than 55 years in the market and 49 stores across Costa Rica, TOYS has positioned itself as the country\u2019s leading retailer of toys, collectibles, and baby products, offering a portfolio of over 30,000 items.<\/p>\n\n

In a context where consumers value not only product variety but also simple, fast and benefit driven shopping experiences, TOYS<\/a> faced the challenge of optimizing its checkout processes, expanding payment flexibility, and simultaneously strengthening its value proposition in a highly competitive market.<\/p>\n\n

Before implementing Zunify, limitations in payment methods made it difficult to execute joint strategies with financial institutions and to activate promotions that encouraged purchases and customer loyalty.<\/p>\n\n

The solution:<\/strong> Zunify as an enabler of a value ecosystem<\/h2>\n\n

To address these challenges, TOYS began its relationship with Evertec through Zunify, a payment solution that enables secure, fast, and reliable electronic transaction processing.<\/p>\n\n

Beyond operational efficiency, Zunify became a key enabler of the retail + technology + banking ecosystem, allowing TOYS to work in an integrated manner with banks, cooperatives, and mutuals to deliver direct benefits to consumers.<\/p>\n\n

Thanks to this solution, TOYS was able to implement:<\/p>\n\n

  1. Discount coupons in partnership with merchants, banks, cooperatives, and mutuals, encouraging purchases through exclusive benefits tied to specific payment methods.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Cashback programs, offered by the merchant in alliance with various financial institutions, creating an additional incentive to increase purchase frequency and ticket size.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Integrated marketing actions, including mass communication and area-of-influence marketing, with point-of-sale activations that connected the in-store experience with the digital benefits of payment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

    All of this was supported by an agile implementation, with an average time of less than 24 hours to enable new points of sale, along with technical support and training provided by Zunify\u2014key factors for successful adoption.<\/p>\n\n

    The results:<\/strong> accelerated growth, higher conversion, and more loyal customers<\/h2>\n\n

    The combination of optimized payment processes, financial benefits, and coordinated marketing actions had a direct and measurable impact on business performance.<\/p>\n\n
