The National Affiliate Association, Anda (Asociación Nacional de Afiliados in Spanish), founded in 1933, with more than 270,000 partners through which it benefits more than 600,000 Uruguayans, in 2019 began the process to renew and update its payment platform. The objective of this modernization was to offer its associates a better service with regards to payment methods in addition to the possibilities of using these different methods in their affiliated merchants. For this, they trusted the Evertec Uruguay team to be their technological and business partner.
Evertec has had a presence in Uruguay since 2017, after the acquisition of PayTrue solutions founded in 2003 to meet the growing demand and the need for better payment systems locally and on a regional level. “We found in Evertec the solution and technology we were looking for to make undergo the transformation that allowed us to maintain our renowned service, while offering a more modern and robust platform that would permit us to be more flexible, grow and face the new challenges that were arising in the world of payments”, said Germán López, Director of Informatics of Anda.
The project provided for a total update of ANDA’s issuer and acquirer platform where the service was at the center of the change, providing scalability for the business, and the possibility of offering new products to its affiliates. In the third quarter of 2020, one of the first proposed milestones was reached; the release of the acquirer platform, aimed at improving the service and merchant acquirer access to ANDA.
For its part, Yaninna Mella, General Manager of ANDA, stressed that “the process, collaboration, and service that Evertec offered, was the key in deciding to work with them, in addition to the flexibility and possibilities offered by its platform.
