Tips for cleaning POS terminals
First Step
Turn off the terminal and unplug it from its power source.
Second Step
Gently wipe the terminals with a clean and slightly damp microfiber cloth to remove any dirt or residue.
Third Step
You may use one or two drops of no-rinse pH-neutral soap.
Fourth Step
Do not use solvents, strong detergents, or abrasive cleaners.
Fifth Step
Once the terminal is completely dry, plug it back in and turn it on.

Avoid during cleaning
Apply directly to the equipment
Spraying, pouring, or spilling any type of liquid or disinfectant directly on the device.
Products with ketone or solvents
Using bleach, hydrogen peroxide, solvents, trichloroethylene, or ketone-based solvents since they can break down plastic.
Friction or strong shaking
Vigorously scrubbing and/or shaking the terminals to avoid triggering a tampering alert.
Electrostatic discharge (ESD)
Refrain from vigorously scrubbing with a dry towel or similar actions since these may activate the tampering alert.
