Success Case Simply & Unimed | Digital transformation of registration processes

Simply, a fintech specialized in automation and onboarding, part of Evertec Brazil’s Digital unit — was one of the finalists in the first edition of Unimed’s open innovation program. LinkOne, in collaboration with Inseed Investimentos, aims to connect the Cooperative with startups focused on healthcare technology solutions.

This unprecedented initiative in Brazil’s supplemental health market concluded its first edition in 2018 with a DemoDay, gathering nearly 300 participants.

Simply was one of the two selected startups now delivering efficiency and process automation to Unimed-BH’s administrative and financial operations.

One of the challenges presented was automating the movement and analysis of proposals — reducing approval or rejection time for Health Plan Credentialing requests for Individual Holders and Beneficiaries.

Reducing registration process time is also a need in the financial sector, where Simply is highly experienced. The company brought to healthcare the best automation and security practices, improving customer experience, reducing costs, and increasing productivity.

Electronic document analysis

Atomics uses artificial intelligence and OCR technology to analyze and electronically validate documents of different types.

The solution allows automatic document recognition — meaning it checks whether the uploaded image matches the expected document type. It also extracts information from documents for automated workflows, in addition to performing facematch and intelligent validation.

It supports more than 50 public document types — including ID, driver’s license, proof of residence — plus custom documents such as contracts and sector-specific agreements.

Operational workflow automation

S-Works orchestrates data and maps business rules according to the operational flow, executing registration steps automatically. In exceptional cases requiring human evaluation, S-Works routes tasks to a semi-automated stage where analysts can act quickly and efficiently.
