The challenge: evolving the wallet without disrupting the member experience
At Compensar, the digital wallet is a core channel within its ecosystem, giving members a way to manage the benefits they receive from Compensar as a family compensation fund. Through it, they can check balances and transaction history across individual “pockets,” carry out financial transactions, and access a wide range of services — from token and QR code purchases at Compensar’s partner merchants to utility bill payments, top-ups, mobile credits and data packages, movie tickets, and loan requests, among others.
In a landscape where digital experience is everything, Compensar faced the challenge of modernizing its wallet — ensuring continuity of support, keeping pace with product evolution, and improving how members access and use the platform.
The main challenge was carrying out this transformation while protecting critical flows and ensuring the end user experienced no friction or downtime during the transition.

To address these challenges, Compensar partnered with Evertec to carry out a full modernization of its digital wallet, built on a white label model in which Evertec provides the technology foundation and Compensar manages it as its own product.
The evolution combined technological renewal, infrastructure migration, and improvements to the user experience:

- Migration to cloud architecture, enabling greater scalability and stability while accelerating the rollout of new features.
